Hello! My name is Teresa Rae Treen and I am a Visual Artist and Painter based in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Colour and vibrance are the driving components in my pieces, and I tend to lean into the tones that invoke an emotional response. I am also greatly passionate about music, and have been playing songs by ear since I was 5 years old; because of this, my work draws largely from the essence of musical expression.

My involvement in the creative world has been life-long (through painting, writing, and making music). I have also been guided by an exponential thirst for knowledge, which ultimately led to my enrollment in a Bachelor of Science, which I completed in 2023. My interest in a variety of subjects is clear not only in my education, but also in the style of my work: although many of my pieces are objectively rooted in music, I have a wide range of still-life, landscape, and abstract work as well.

Some of these pieces are for sale, some have sold. Some of these pieces were painted on commission; the majority are independent original pieces. All paintings were created between 2019 - 2025, primarily using Liquitex Basics acrylic paint (all pieces are done in acrylic). All paintings have been varnished with Gamvar Satin, for protection and longevity.

My work has been featured in multiple solo and group exhibits, as well as other public displays.

Many of my paintings can also be found across North America, including in Arizona, Florida, New York, British Columbia, Alberta, Michigan, Vermont, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, and more.
