MY COMMISSION PROCESS:
STEP 1: submit a commission request
To submit a commission request, please join my commission waitlist, or reach out via email with your ideas, photo references, and any other information/preferences you'd like to share, including size and colour scheme.
Although I primarily work with acrylics on canvas (and will assume that this is what you're looking for unless otherwise specified), I am open to working in many sizes and styles, and will always aim to create a piece that's tailored to your vision.

STEP 2: confirmation, pricing, and timeline
Once I have received your commission request, I will reach out (usually by email) to discuss the proposed artwork and go to over some details. When we have confirmed the details of your piece, I will give you a price and an estimated timeline.
The process of creating a commissioned painting often* takes around 6-8 weeks, plus an additional 1-2 weeks for shipping**.
* Larger/more complex pieces may take longer.
** Depending on your location. In most cases, orders shipped within Canada can take up to 14 business days to arrive, excluding holidays. International shipping times can vary, and in some cases, orders can take up to 4 weeks to arrive. Please always allow for additional delays in shipping time when purchasing any artwork.
STEP 3: 50% non-refundable deposit
Once we have confirmed the details of your piece, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of your order (excluding shipping) is required upfront before I will begin creating it*.
If you wish, you can wait to pay the remaining 50% of the cost until the painting has been completed to your liking. Please keep in mind that in this case, the painting must still be paid for in full before the piece can be shipped or delivered to you. You do also have the option to pay the full cost upfront instead.
Most commission sales are done either through a secure PayPal checkout (which I will send to you via a custom product link), or through invoice. Please keep in mind that for all artwork sales, the piece must always be paid for in full before it will be sent out to you.
* This is to cover the cost of materials, time, and effort expended in the case of a cancellation. Please understand that as custom pieces are made specifically for you, commissions are NOT eligible for returns, cancellations, or exchanges.

PRICING:
Commissioned pieces are priced based on both the subject & complexity of your reference image(s) or ideas, as well as the size of the proposed piece.
You can refer to the prices of my currently available paintings for examples of how original paintings are priced. Listed prices are all in $CAD.
SHIPPING:
All shipping fees are in addition to the cost of the artwork.
I am based in Canada, but paintings and prints can be shipped worldwide. Orders are always shipped with tracking and insurance. For more information on shipping fees and procedures, please click here.
